Pagara (Bombing the Chinese Shop) ~ (Suriname)
Sometimes, as a child
You do really stupid things
Which you will always remember
Like the pagara that I made
On New Year’s Day
Out of unexploded fireworks
And secretly placed in a rathole
Under the gate of a Chinese shop
Finally, after several trials
The thing exploded like hell
I’m sure that until this day
Chinese Uncle hasn’t got a clue
Who bombed his gate
