Over Mij – About Me
Ik ben Kenneth Rellum, taalgek en meertalige dichter te Capelle aan den IJssel, afkomstig uit Suriname. Mijn geliefde schrijfstijl is de door mij ontwikkelde Gladius Poeticus©, of wel het dichterlijk kortzwaard. Door middel van dit vrije vers van meestal 13 korte regels probeer ik zo direct mogelijk de essentie te benaderen van hetgeen zich wil laten verwoorden. Essentie nestelt in eenvoud, en schoonheid is de perceptie daarvan. De enige schrijfconventie die ik erken is de taalzuiverheid. Indien nodig, overstijgt de inhoud de poëzie. Ik wil niet mooi gevonden worden, ik wil verstaan worden. Op alle gepubliceerde gedichten rust een wettelijk auteursrecht (©, copyright).
I am Kenneth Rellum, language freak and multilingual poet at Capelle aan den IJssel in The Netherlands, originally from Suriname (South-America). My beloved writing style is the self developed Gladius Poeticus©, or so to speak the poetic short sword. By means of this free verse of mostly 13 short lines I try to approach the essence of what needs to be told as directly as possible. Essence nests in simplicity, and beauty is the perception thereof. The only writing convention that I recognize is the language purity. If need be, the content goes beyond the poetry. I don’t need to be liked, I want to be understood.
