   I wish I could read your Dutch versions.

   After my parents divorced after twenty years of marriage, my dad dated a woman from Surinam — very lovely woman — a year older than me — hahaha! But I liked her. It didn’t last however. My dad married another woman after that and they stayed married, 17 years until he died.

      This was some 50 years ago when the dam was constructed and the water reservoir started to form. These people called Maroons, lived high up the interior in their own socially well orginazed communities. Their ancestors escaped slavery and developped a free spirit. Now they are fast moving into political power. Thanks, Susan!
