Of your superb young body
Wrapped in the bright colors
Of a proud little spice nation
You flew to record highs
Kirani James, 400 metres runner
Olympic gold and world champion
On the thrust of love and heritage
In little under 44 seconds
You propelled the tiny island of Grenada
From the waters of obscurity
Into a brand new sky
For everybody to see
