Brazil, the Beautiful Lie
Brazil is a beautiful lie
Of a harmonious
Racially mixed society
In which two-thirds
Of those living in poverty
Are of African descend
While the privileged middle
And upper class is white
Legal affirmative action
Identifying Brazilians
As either black or white
Is said, will only turn the lie
Into a living nightmare
