Ik draag de overtuiging

Dat Mohammed Assaf

Arab Idol winnaar 2013

Een directe verbinding heeft

Met de spirituele entiteit

Van zijn volk, de Palestijnen

Zoals voorafgaande

Aan elk lied, zijn roep

Hartstochtelijk weerklank vindt

Van duizenden

En ik , als niet-Arabier

Mij aangegrepen voel

In het diepste van de ziel

I carry the belief

That Mohammed Assaf

Arab Idol winner 2013

Is in direct connection

With the spiritual entity

Of his people, the Palestinians

As before each song

His call massively finds

A passionate resonance

From thousands

And I, as a non-Arab

Feel emotionally seized

In the depths of the soul
