Haat en Liefde (Love and Hate)

Begrijp me goed

Ik houd van

Mijn geboorteland

Landgenoten zijn het

Die ik haat

Maar weet ook

Dat bij ons de soep

Niet zo heet

Door de keel gaat

Dat haat en liefde

Slechts een brasa

Van elkaar

Verwijderd staan

Understand me well

I Love

My homeland

Is countrymen

I hate

But know also

That among us

The soup is eaten

Not so hot

That love and hate

Only stand apart

From each other

One embrace
