Afwijzing (Rejection)

Stukjes brood

Werpt het kleintje

De vogels toe

Dan

Biedt ze het aan

Op haar knieën

Zo lief

Maar vogels

Houden afstand

Grote brokken

Gooit ze nu

Afwijzing doet zeer

 

Rejection (translation)

Pieces of bread

The little one throws

To the birds

Then

She offers it

On her knees

So sweet

But birds

Keep away

Large chunks

She now throws

Rejection hurts
