That’s no problem. Inspiration can come from everywhere and anything. But a good poem doesn’t necessarily needs a picture to tell the story, unless it’s incomplete without it. Thanks for commenting.

i think it’s not so much as denying the reader his mind’s eye…i think pictures attached to poems also show the reader what inspired the poem from the writer’s eye..well to each his own 😉

Soms kan het een bijzondere toegevoegde waarde hebben als je bijvoorbeeld een fotogedicht hebt met iets persoonlijks voor iemand in de afbeelding. Vooral als cadeau. 😉

Nicely put! I find pictures like closed captions for readers lol. A focus for the untrained mind or just a wonderful back drop like company for lingering words. Love them either way

good subject in your poem. As long as the picture is neutral the words will still evoke the readers own imagination. For instance in Japan and China drawing/ painting are often combined with words in a perfect balance of both. If the picture shows too much of the poem than it’s not stimulating the reader’s imagination, I agree.
