Getting even in Poetry
I settle scores with poetry
Of things really bothering me
For God knows how long
Nagging at my soul
I challenge and process them verbally
Put them to shame and hang them publicly
Then pack and stow them away neatly
Digitally on my poetry blog
Where their memorial may be visited
So I can have some peace again
At least until the next poem that is
Doing as the proverb says
Don’t get mad, get even in poetry
