Black Woman Liberation
Black woman, please
You need to liberate yourself
From your inferiority thinking
Suppressing the God-given features
You were born with
Like straighten your frizzy hair
Instead of braiding it
In a thousand ancient patrons
The way your grandmothers did
Stop bleaching your skin
The beautiful deep dark color
That sparks feelings of warmth
Maternity, sisterhood and love
