If roaring evil

Is greeted approvingly

By braying of donkeys

Is it time

To worry?

I had so planned

Not to interfere

With the elections in the US

Is a democracy

Which reinvented itself

With Barack Obama

Able of self protection?

Or is history repeating itself?

Begroet wordt

Met instemmend ezelsgebalk

Is het dan tijd

Om ons zorgen te maken?

Ik had me zo voorgenomen

Niet te bemoeien

Met de verkiezingen in de VS

Is een democratie

Die zichzelf opnieuw uitvond

Met Barack Obama

Tot zelfbescherming in staat?

Of is het historie die zich herhaalt?
