What in Heaven’s name is the matter
With our countries Guyana and Suriname
Number 1 and 6 on the world’s suicide list!
More young people are ending their life
In a very shocking and tragic manner
As a result of frustration, no jobs
Economic problems and domestic violence
Governments need to take a serious stand
On the social issue of suicide
Implement more programs and seminars
To educate persons on the issue
But the truth of the matter is
Suicide prevention begins at home
