Moederschap (Motherhood) ~ (Voor Rahana)
Zo voelbaar, de warmte
Van liefde en verbondenheid
Die moeder en kind doortrilt
Maar ook dat beschermende
Die stille waarschuwing
Kom niet tussen mij
En mijn kind
Toch ligt er
Hoewel onuitgesproken
Een uitnodiging
Zij het voorwaardelijk
Een plekje te geef
Wie maakt dit geluk compleet?
Motherhood (Translation)
So palpable, the warmth
Of love and togetherness
Thrilling through mother and child
But also the protection
That silent warning
Do not come between me
And my child
Yet there is
Though unspoken
An invite
Albeit conditionally
A place to give
Who makes complete this happiness?
