The Amerindian communities
Of Galibi at the Maroni river
Also known as Kalinya
And Bigi Poika or Akarani
At the Saramacca river
Used to shoot black magic arrows
In the direction of each other
As well as sending off
Miniature sailing vessels
Packed with bad spirits
The skills of the shaman or pyjai
Was decisive for victory
