Nobody Home ~ (Abandoned House)
The stone steps are still there
But the front door leads nowhere
The paintless wooden facade
With the barred windows
Standing all alone, unsupported
Trying to cover the dreadful shame
Of the emptiness behind
Nobody home
Those who used to live there
Or planned to make it their home
Where have they gone?
What made them leave the house
So sadly abandoned?
