Found back after forty years
Sharbat Gula was still unaware
How the beautiful piercing eyes
Of a 12-year-old Afghan orphan girl
Photographed in a refugee camp
Changed the awareness of the world
When her picture prominently appeared
On the cover of National Geographic
Leading to the Afghan Children’s Fund
How people volunteered to work
In refugee camps, inspired because of her
So, when asked to pose once more
The conservative Muslim lowered her veil
