Traveling is a Damn Serious Business
I need to be abroad from time to time
To escape from myself and this country
But I actually hate to travel
“Traveling is a damn serious business”
Somebody once said
And may I add, nerve wrecking too
I speak five Euro languages more or less
But people associate my dark skin color
With Africa, especially the Portuguese
That’s because you speak Portuguese
My smart girlfriend says. Of course!
Dutch people address me in English
Even though I’m Dutch; crazy, isn’t it?
