Em um grande país
De enormes contrastes
Onde as mulheres muitas vezes
São um objeto de desejo atrevido
E uma vida humana, por vezes
Não tem muito valor
Eu vejo você lutando
Para a sua existência legal
Com perseverança e paixão
Mas também uma vulnerabilidade
Que profundamente emociona
Deusinha do Recreio
Na sombra do Rio de Janeiro
Little Goddess from Recreio (Translation)
In a large country
Of huge contrasts
Where women often
Are a raunchy lust object
And a human life sometimes
Has not much worth
I see you fighting
For your lawful existence
With perseverance and passion
But a vulnerability too
Which deeply moves
Little Goddess from Recreio
In the shadow of Rio de Janeiro
