From My Heart to Yours ~ (A Poet’s Last Wish)

A Poet's Last Wish

Fire purifies, they say

It frees up the soul

So, after my cremation

I want you to scatter my ashes

On the smallest terrace

Of the Quintinha da Ramada

At the root of the white rose

Saying a simple prayer

Taking a sip of whiskey

(Any good brand will do)

Pouring libation in my honor

As you recite a love poem

From my heart to yours
