Loud and Clear ~ (Flood, Galibi, Suriname)
The Amerindian village
Of Galibi in Suriname
Wrestling with the sea
Brought back memories
Of the great tsunami
Wiping coastal settlements
And people from the Earth
Let’s be thankful for this one
Of a much smaller size
Fortunately claiming no lives
Some flooded dwellings only
The warning however
Was loud and clear
