Forced Marriage
Nothing could prepare her
Or take away her fear
From the safety of her home
She was to be transferred
At another man’s will
For the best interest of all
She was told, not asked
To concede, just to obey
Like a good daughter should
With her pubis waxed smooth
Festively the knot was tied
A blood stained sheet served
To everyone’s delight
