Kwasibita 2.0 (Tribal Medicine)
Kwasibita 2.0
Someone called it mockingly
Foreigners trying to cheat
An Amerindian medicine man
From Kwamalasamutu in Suriname
Out of a tribal cure for cancer
Paying nickels and dimes
Bringing back memories
Of a African slave called Kwasi
Discoverer of the Kwasibita
Nature’s gift to the ailing man
For which he was rewarded
Only in name
