Van zwarte wolken
Kolkt boven Paramaribo
Een rode vuurdraak
Verzwelgt houten huizen
Machteloos gehuil
Van brandweerwagens
Om trage responstijden
En gebrek aan bluswater
Vanachter een lint
Kijken toegesnelde
Ramptoeristen
Ontzet toe
Fire (translation)
A furious spiral
Of black clouds
Swirls above Paramaribo
A red fire dragon
Devours wooden houses
Powerless howling
Of fire engines
For slow response times
And lack of firewater
From behind a ribbon
The rushed crowd
Of disaster tourists
Watches horrified
