Een scheur van licht
De hemel klapt neer
Boven op de aarde
Mens en dier vluchten
IJlings wordt de was
Binnen gehaald
Storm
Geselt boomtakken
Dan klettert regen neer
Op zinken daken
De regenworm
Och arme
Die vannacht verdrinken zal

A crack of light
The sky crashes down
On top of the earth
Humans and animals take flight
Laundry is hastily
Being pulled inside
Storm
Lashes branches outright
Then rain drums down
On zinc roof tops
The earthworm
Poor thing
That will drown tonight
